Ariel Isaacs
I have several years of experience in vaccine and therapeutic development for paramyxoviruses, with a special interest in henipaviruses. My primary research focus is structure-guided rational vaccine design for paramyxoviruses and coronaviruses, making use of cryogenic electron microscopy and functional assays to produce next-generation, broad-spectrum vaccines. I also have a strong interest in therapeutic discovery and development for treatment of henipavirus infection. I am currently employed as a postdoctoral research fellow at UQ, where I contribute to the development of the molecular clamp technology for a wide variety of viruses.
